Agenda-Setting Breakfast with Twitter VP Europe Bruce Daisley

  • WHEN: October 16, 2018
  • AT: 08.45 a.m – 10.00 a.m
  • LOCATION: Exterion Media London
  • COST: FREE (members only)

Delighted to confirm our new breakfast meeting format and our first guest speaker, Twitter VP Europe Bruce Daisley.

Places are limited for BMS members only – first come, first served.

The breakfast will combine informal networking with Bruce, plus a more structured 15-20 minute presentation, followed by a Q&A. The idea is to help set up your week and get back to work with some fresh-thinking to apply.

Bruce Daisley’s new book The Joy of Work presents 30 ways to Fix Your Work Culture and Fall in Love with Your Job Again, and in the course of the session, Bruce will grant us a sneak-peek preview of his thoughts on how to make our workplaces fit for the 21st century.

Publishing is often seen as a vocation rather than just a job but we are still facing the same challenges of the modern workplace: how to create a good culture and inspire teams and each other, how to manage pressure in a launch and campaign-driven business, the impact of tech (on our working lives, our brains, and our business model), and the work/life balance. Bruce presents a revolutionary re-envisioning of how to enjoy your job.

In the course of a career at the helm of companies including Google, YouTube, and Twitter, Bruce Daisley has become fascinated by the culture of the workplace. And in his hugely popular podcast ‘Eat Sleep Work Repeat’, he has talked with leading experts about how best to make our jobs happier and more fulfilling. Now, in The Joy of Work, he shares the fruits of his discoveries and looks at all aspects of 21st-century office life, everything from whether lunch breaks make us more productive through to asking what is a Monk Mode Morning, and why do people swear by it?

If you’re not happy with the status quo, if you think things can be done better, if you’re seeking greater fulfilment at work and a life that is a little less fraught, join us on 16th.

Light breakfast provided.

RSVP essential.
