Marketing Intern

Mirror Books (part of Reach PLC, the largest newspaper publisher in the UK) is looking for interns to help support its commercial non-fiction and fiction lists. Our business is expanding rapidly. This is a superb opportunity to work as part of a small but dynamic team and gain practical hands-on experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Update website and monitor ecommerce activity
  • Craft eye-catching social media campaigns to help promote titles and monitor performance
  • Develop email marketing campaigns and measure effectiveness
  • Optimising book descriptions to improve visibility across channels
  • Create and monitor marketing campaign across AMS and Facebook
  • General marketing support including copyrighting for ads, press releases and catalogue preparation
  • Help prepare sales sheets for key account presentations
  • Market research for titles
  • Update mailing lists and organise mailings
  • General administration to support the team
  • Taking meeting minutes as required

Skills:

  • Organised and an excellent multi-tasker
  • Fully versed in social media
  • A flare for writing copy and strong communication skills
  • Diligent with a good attention to detail
  • Proactive and results orientated
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Photoshop and InDesign an advantage
  • Ability to analyse data in Excel
