Salary range: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum

Bonnier Books UK has a unique opportunity for a marketing manager to join their adult trade team. Reporting to the marketing director, you will be responsible for marketing lead titles across both the adult fiction and non-fiction imprints, developing and implementing multi-channel strategies to create awareness and drive sales. As a resourceful and commercially savvy marketer, you will be adept at reaching and engaging a wide range of consumer audiences and will use your deep experience of working with brands, partners, retailers and authors to help our titles become bestsellers in all formats.

Essential job functions/responsibilities

  • Planning and executing best-in-class campaigns for titles across a range of genres including lifestyle, memoir, crime and thriller and reading group
  • Work with the adult trade marketing director to set overall strategy for our non-fiction list and imprints
  • Work with the campaigns director to shape strategy on key fiction genres
  • Manage online communities, with particular responsibility for launch and audience development of a new consumer-facing platform
  • Work closely with the non-fiction publishing team on our acquisition strategy in order to keep our publishing anticipating and identifying trends and reacting to market opportunities
  • Work closely with the digital Sales team to identify ebook promotional opportunities across the front and backlist, particularly in fiction
  • Manage digital platforms including AMS, paid social, SEO and Netgalley
  • Generate low-cost online publicity ideas in collaboration with the publicity team
  • Create detailed trade campaigns to excite retailer partners and secure promotional slots
  • Secure high profile and profitable partnerships for our authors with third parties and suitable brands
  • Set KPIs, monitor ROI, and provide ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns to inform our marketing and publishing decisions
  • Be the key point of contact for our authors, working closely with high profile talent and their teams to leverage their platforms and drive pre-orders
