Salary: £10.75/hr (London Living Wage)

Reporting to: Senior Publicists

Laurence King Publishing, recognized as one of the world’s leading publishers of books on the creative arts, is looking for a Publicity Intern to assist the publicity team with promoting our expanding list of art, design, fashion, student books, children’s books, and gifts. This is a three-month, fixed term internship.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Assisting with campaign research, discovering new media outlets and event opportunities.
  • Preparing weekly press reports on Gorkana (following database training).
  • Submitting books to The Bookseller for previews and category spotlights on a rolling basis.
  • Submitting books for awards on a rolling basis.
  • Maintaining LKPs blogger database.
  • Scanning and filing coverage.
  • Undertaking press and influencer mailings.
  • Making early digital copies of books available on NetGalley.
  • Assisting on the creation of press releases, image sheets and other publicity materials and sharing assets with US and Australian press teams.
  • Support on regional media outreach.
  • Monitoring festival submissions calendars.
  • Circulating fortnightly emails with any upcoming festival submissions deadlines.
  • Covering office reception duties during lunch
