If you have a track record of planning and implementing strategic campaigns and reaching and engaging an audience in new and interesting ways, we want to hear from you.
You’ll lead on campaigns for high profile authors and household names and represent the team in author pitches and during the book acquisition process.
To be outstanding in this role, you’ll need great communication skills, an enthusiasm for trying new things and a genuine interest in developments in the marketing world.
Previous line management experience isn’t necessary, but you’ll be keen to manage and develop a junior team member, and understand the importance of knowledge sharing.

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Officer to join Ebury, the UK’s largest dedicated non-fiction publisher.
With some campaigns under your belt already, you’ll be planning and implementing effective campaigns that cut through the noise and generate awareness and sales.
Providing guidance and problem-solving for authors, you’ll work closely with teams in editorial, sales, production and design to manage your campaigns, as well as tie in with major PRH and Ebury brand campaigns.
You’ll need the usual things – good organisation, strong copywriting skills, an artistic eye – but more importantly, you’ll be both proactive and reactive. You’ll be comfortable making informed judgements because you’ve done your research and have strong marketing knowledge, and adaptable when the unexpected happens.

You’ll need a good understanding of how to run a campaign. As well as supporting the wider team, you’ll have your own campaigns to plan and implement, from nailing down the right audience to writing pitches to creating marketing materials and planning partnerships with brands.
To do that, you’ll need to be a team player, working closely with internal teams such as editorial, design, production and sales. You’ll also have a flair for writing creative copy, good organisation and comfortable talking to a range of people.

We’re looking for a super organised Campaigns Assistant to support our fast-moving publicity and marketing team. You’ll mainly be based within our Smart hub, which publishes serious non-fiction in areas like history, science, business, memoir and big ideas books.
You’ll ensure that the team has everything they need to engage readers and drive sales, from preparing for meetings and travel arrangements, diary management, processing invoices, updating databases that feed through to our suppliers and organising mailouts.
In short, you’ll be the point person for the team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get your feet wet in a busy campaigns team. You’ll learn how to deal with press enquiries, run social media, and write promotional materials. You’ll build your network and work collaboratively with internal teams such as production, editorial, sales and rights, as well as advertising agencies, influencers and the media.
You’ll enjoy engaging in the world around you, whether that’s pop culture or news, you’ll have a meticulous eye for detail, and you’ll thrive on talking with a huge range of people.
You need to have a creative eye, both for visual design and copywriting, and any experience using design software would be a bonus.

Combining your creativity with digital skills, you’ll manage digital campaigns across Amazon and social media, writing and delivering content plans as well as interpreting the data behind campaigns.
Using your expert knowledge of a book or author, you’ll help our sales team bring retailers on board so they champion the book from word go. You’ll also connect with external partners, exploring opportunities to promote our stories together, and take an active lead on the department’s influencer engagement strategy.
You’ll bring bags of enthusiasm and ideas to each campaign, using your initiative to make the most of your budget, however great or small. You will be an excellent and versatile copy-writer with keen developing digital skills including Photoshop and website CMS. You’ll also have a knack for social media, not just understanding how it works, but what makes people sit up and listen.
It goes without saying you’ll have a passion for books, and you’ll always be identifying great features which you think readers will really respond to.

Abrams & Chronicle Books is a highly successful distributor of illustrated and children’s books, alongside gift and stationery product. We are looking for a Senior Marketing Executive or Marketing Manager (depending on experience) to join our team. Based in our Smithfield office, reporting to the Director of Publicity and Marketing, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and analysing creative and targeted marketing campaigns. This is undertaken in conjunction with the UK publicity and sales teams, and your US counterparts.
The role involves taking ownership of the company’s marketing strategy and budget, running campaigns – including setting up partnerships, digital activity, competitions – plus reporting and analysing the results. The Senior Marketing Executive/Marketing Manager will oversee the company website, blog and social media accounts keeping the content up-to-date and relevant. Responsibilities range from content production, SEO and web analytics to database management. Other duties include supervising the corporate branding for Abrams & Chronicle Books, creating and distributing marketing materials, adverts and assets, along with management of seasonal catalogues and submissions to The Bookseller.
The ideal candidate will be a sales-driven marketer with design skills. They will have a good understanding of running marketing campaigns and knowledge of branding, websites and social media management. Previous marketing experience is required, preferably in a publishing role, and excellent copywriting and communication skills are essential.

The placement will last approximately three months and they are looking for someone who is available to start late July.
